At right, Laura LoBuglio, a third-year veterinary student at the University of Minnesota, received the 2016 Merial Veterinary Scholar Research Award, presented by Dr. Monica Dias Figueiredo, Director, External Innovation and Lead Finding, Merial.

Dr. Monica Dias Figueiredo, Program Leader, R&D External Innovation at Merial (shown in photo at left), presented the 2014 Merial Veterinary Scholars award to Nida Intarapanich, DVM candidate at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. At right, Dr. Diane Larsen, Director, Pharma R&D Projects at Merial, presented the 2014 Merial Veterinary Research award to Dan Regan, DVM, a PhD candidate at Colorado State University.

Dr. Frank Milward, Head, North American Bio Development at Merial (shown in photo at left), presented the 2013 Merial Veterinary Research award to Famke Aeffner, DVM, who recently completed her PhD in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences at The Ohio State University. At right, Yuki Nakayama, a fourth-year DVM student at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Tufts University received the Merial Veterinary Scholar Award from Dr. Monica Dias Figueiredo, Program Leader, R&D External Innovation, Merial. The awards were presented on August 3 during the 2013 Merial-NIH National Veterinary Scholars Symposium, hosted by Michigan State University.

At right, Lauren Habenicht, DVM candidate at Colorado State University received the Merial Veterinary Scholar Award from Dr. Joseph Rosentel, Head, Pharma R&D Projects – Parasitics, Merial. The awards were presented on August 4 during the 2012 Merial-NIH National Veterinary Scholars Symposium, hosted by Colorado State University.
